Ning Developer Docs

What ever happened to the PHP in the analytics/tracking section?

if i stick a <?php ?> i would get an error.

Do you plan on bringing that back or what?
now I have to use multi-line js to do what php would do in one line....

its always like 1 step forward 3 steps back here at ning.
not to mention the horrendous resources section in which over half of which does not apply anymore!!

please help us by atleast revamping and updating all known ning developer resources.

btw...
the whole html/css markup is just insanity! its sad when the element id/class you are going for has 40+ chars more than the css code you are applying to it!!

Hi there,

While the ability to add PHP code has been disabled from the GUI for performance and security purposes, you will be able to edit the tracking box directly with PHP code through the WebDav tool and going into the /instances/main/embed/pageEnd.php file.

Thanks, Ernie
great in all but it does not work proper anymore. period.

also, everything is better/easily done through a gui, if you have to hop thru more loops than one, thats a degradation in workflow causing all sorts of problems.

like i've said before its pretty much 1 step forward 3 back.

*EDIT*

it does work but.....

the file is /instances/main/pageEnd.php

also, once you add in any thru webDAV you CANNOT edit your analytics thru the GUI editor.
