Well, with Ernie's great help I've gotten the ability to add photos restricted to creators/admins. Now I'd like to add a paypal button to each photo. I searched the discussions, but only found subscription solutions. We already have a premier business account with paypal and have added buy now buttons for one off items on other sites. Is this possible without going into the code? Has anyone developed a ning shopping cart solution? I looked at ShopIt, but don't like that. Thanks in advance.
We went with a RadicalBuy storefront widget instead. They're good people. Really great customer support. You can actually talk to a live person on the phone. I had found a paypal widget that is in beta. You can find it here: http://storefront.paypallabs.com/authenticate/review
It looks slick, but after trying in vain for over a month to find some support from paypal on it, I gave up on it.
Exactly, Atonitis. That's how both widgets work. Very easy, very quick. I'm sure there's other storefront widgets out there that will work also. I just didn't like paypal's nonexistent support. I thought the "Help sell these items" link sounded like cyberbegging and wanted to see if that text could be changed. Unfortunately, you can't get to anyone who even knows the beta exists. Even on their development forum.
Yup, just what I'm looking for too.
combine tags, with search, with description (insert text, html and paypal button) and you have an instant shopping store site.
Anyone know if it's going to happen? right now all that has to be done is that the description field NOT be scrubbed clearn of the paypal form code, and it's done.
