There is a problem with the first couple of lines of content in the file. The first line is butting directly up against the <?php so if you move it onto a separate line, things will work correctly.
No, this is purely an export function; there's no restore option. You can use the Ning API to push content into Ning, but various object attributes are read-only and are set at creation time (most notably the createdDate and contributorName), so those would be lost.
Ooooook thanks. Ok last question. I noticed that when i view my source code there is no backup feature like the older group site ning had before. Also, when I try to do a search(for something in the code) I get an error. It is just me?
We've removed the backup feature due to incompatibility with symlinks for centralized network code, but you can always store a snapshot of your code locally or write a script to zip the code up in order to have backups of it.
The code search error sounds like a problem. Can you report it to the help center and we can investigate?
I created an instances/page directory to use the "add pages" features. I meant to delete "/instances/page" directory, but I accidentally deleted "/page" top directory instead. What are the implications and can I restore?
There is no top level directory at /page in the default installation, so I don't think this will have any effect. If you deleted /widgets/page then you won't be able to use the Pages feature on your network, but you could always add the directory back from the latest release.
Please make sure that you're replacing YOURNETWORKSUBDOMAIN with the correct subdomain for your network, and that you have permission to edit the files; only the network creator can access the files via that address.
