Hi Phil. A wee bit of help please?
I have had an extra page for months - no problem. I've just added a couple and there are a couple of issues:
1. Each time I creat a page I get an error page appear, but on going back to the site, the page has ben successfully created. The error page is:
Uh-oh!
Sorry! This app has encountered a serious problem and can't continue. The problem has been noted for the developer to fix.
Trace:
#0 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/NF_Controller.php(108): NF::bailOut('Sorry! This app...', NULL)
#1 [internal function]: NF_Controller->action_error('Sorry! This app...')
#2 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/NF_Controller.php(746): call_user_func_array(Array, Array)
#3 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/NF_Controller.php(157): NF_Controller->_invokeAction('error', Array)
#4 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/W_Controller.php(66): NF_Controller->action(Object(NF_ArgWrapper))
#5 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/W_Widget.php(454): W_Controller->action('error', 'Sorry! This app...')
#6 /apps/socialnetworkmain/lib/XG_App.php(1281): W_Widget->dispatch('page', 'create')
#7 [internal function]: XG_App::dispatchRequest(NULL)
#8 /php/includes/XN/WWF/lib/W_WidgetApp.php(121): call_user_func(Array, NULL)
#9 /apps/socialnetworkmain/lib/index.php(31): W_WidgetApp::go()
#10 /apps/harringay/index.php(3): require_once('/apps/socialnet...')
#11 {main}
2. I am not getting comments by users enabled. The code in my page file is:
page
0.1
Pages
A Mozzel for static pages.
1
0
1
1
0
1
set
(Won't seem to reproduce here properly, I'm afraid)
Not in this thread, no, since there are already 10 pages of comments. If you're interested in reordering tabs, please ask in a new thread so that others who are similarly interested will be able to find it easily.
The problem here is that you have spaces in your directory names, and they are causing problems. If you rename the directories then things will work as expected (doing this will mean that you lose your current content though, so please make a copy of any pages in those two directories before renaming them).
Thanks,
Phil

Phil, sorry to bother you again. I've just redojne the new pages without spaces in the directory names. No error message now. Thanks. But I'm still not getting the comment option showing on local events, despite having set the indicator to 1. Am I being a dunce again?
No, this is actually a bug. When multiple version of the pages feature are used, the settings for the extra instances are ignored with respect to comments, and the setting for the main page instance is used instead. We've fixed this for the upcoming release, so things will work as expected at that point.
Thanks,
Phil

Thanks for that fast response. It was driving me crazy. Ever the glass-half-full guy, I've decided that it may work better for me anyway. Any plans to make commenst placed on the extra pages show up in te latest activity panel?
Yes, we'll probably be doing that, depending on how the pages feature gets rolled into the main offering.
Cheers,
Phil

Thanks Phil. Sorry to be a royal pain, but one last question (promise). Is there a way to add text in the main box of the new page one has just created, above the titles/summaries of the sub-pages that you subsequently create within it?
No, at the moment each page is a self-contained entity. If you only create a single page, then it appears when the tab is clicked, otherwise the listing appears.
Thanks,
Phil
