second that emotion....its like the best example of a blog in the world (W....) is right there to study. I would be there instead of here if Wordpress.com integrated photos, video, and a forum...
Content (forums, photos, videos, etc) created after that push on centralized social networks will have the new URL naming conventions (which is what makes a URL more search engine friendly) - but previous URLs won't be renamed automatically for bookmarking reasons.
Also, this is not the case for new photos. Both the photo page and the full screen shot are unfriendly. For indexing in Google for photos, that would be a BIG help. Otherwise, there's really little reason to be posting photos if it won't help bring people in. Please advise.
That photo is from May 3rd. That said, it always takes a little bit of time for a particular document to fully propogate. As far as manually changing old URLs to a Search Friendly format, you can always request it as a feature request at the Help Center at http://help.ning.com .
That's the part that isn't friendly. Also, when it comes to the enlarged image, it is unfriendly. If we're going to have to pay more with the addition of large photo files, we should be getting the indexing from Google. None of my images are being indexed by Google, of which many are HUGE files.
Being that my site is about photography, this would lend to my bringing in a lot more visitors and new members, further increasing the value in my Ning website. If these URL's could be indexed with friendly URL's, it would increase the value overall for Ning.
