I really need to solve a problem about Events' dates
it seems that Events' dates don't work
if I publish an event with a date by the "Add an Event" form, the software publishes it with the previous day
for example I publish an event for 15 March and it makes me view (after published) 14 March
there's also an other problem less important
if I publish an Event that ends for example on 1.00 AM of the 16 March it appears between the Events of the 16 March even if is more later than 1.00 AM
I think that they are both problems to solve as soon as we can for a lot of people who use ning to make know other people about their events
and for people who use ning networks to know exact informations about events of others.
Is it possible to solve this problem by myself ?
can I access to the code and do the right changes ?
Yes, this is also happening on our Events feature, looks like you just need to make some adjustments to post 17 Mar, you need to set it to 18 Mar, not much of a hassle at all but you can contact Ning support for this particular issue.
@Laca, Under the Blue Moon
Looks ok from our side, maybe its an 'internal network' problem. Do you have source code access or installed custom scripts?
I have the same date problem on my networks as well - if you put in 4 April for a start or end date, it changes this when the event data is stored to 3 April. Worse is that if you later make an update to some other data in the event the dates are also set back by one, every time.
Our members setup events, not centrally from ADMIN, so this is a REAL BUMMER! And we had just made a push for people to start adding more of their own events.
I see below that someone else got a support ticket response - "Next release" - that is really terrible!
Clearly what happened is that the date program that converts dates from display format to some internal date format is so badly programmed that it thinks 2009 is a leap year. Really kindergarten stuff. I had really hoped for better from Ning.
