This happened immediately after I created a new topic for discussion and tried to access it from a link elsewhere on my network. I also found that after a couple of minutes everything was fine and it required no action from my end. I concluded that the problem would have arisen due to some sluggishness on the server side.
In any case I am no geek, so I couldn't have been able to do anything except post a query here :-)
UPDATE: When I accessed the page later, it said 'Discussion Deleted'. Now it is OK!
Is it possible to embed a google map via the Google API on a tab created this way? I've copied and pasted the code provided by the google API but nothing is displaying?
I do have one more question for now though. I still have not been able to add anymore pages after the first one i added for some reason. I have been trying to add it the forum like Alva did to use your "band aid" approach but don't see the other page or tab coming up on my site. Not sure what i'm doing wrong I did it just like the first page i added but this time i when in to the instances/ forum and created a directory then created a file using all the same info but it didn't show up.. some one help me..
Yes I just look at it and it is set to 1. Do you need me to send you the code i use?? Or what the next step.. Cause i put up the first page with no problem
Im really new finding my way round. Really enjoying ning!
I found a 'band aid' solution too. After creating the initial 'Pages' tab I turned the tab off by setting the isFirstOrder to 0 as instructed. Then created my new page in a new folder and did likewise swithing off the tab. Then i put a link to the url in a text box. Works great. In my case I wanted to add a page similar to a FAQ but didnt want it to appear in the tabs. Now I can make as many pages as I want and link back to them through text links. Dont know if thats useful to anyone.
