Here's what my developer told me:

We use the Iframe code exclusively.

When generating the code, OpenX gives you a number of options of how the code should be generated (these are below the code output). Try fiddling with those if the default code doesn't work. I usually choose to exclude comments and disable the third party click tracking.

Always paste the entire code that OpenX gives you into the space where it needs to go. Make sure not to paste over any existing tags.

There is no "in between" code necessary with Iframe nor do you need to put anything else on the page to enable the OpenX code.

Hi Rich,
We have had luck placing OpenX code in spots on the main page. We make new "text boxes" and then paste the code there. So far so good. I have not tried placing the code into the box under "premium services" where you control the ads on the right side. I have another guy working with me who does most of the work in OpenX. If this doesn't answer your question maybe I can ask him for some advice as well.
