hey - did you get the advanced member search feature added?

To be able to search by location you'll have to look at something else. the other option would be to create a custom profile question on 'location' (don't delete the existing Ning question) and then that shows up as searchable too.
i can't give any guarantees on how secure the feature is going to be though and as ning says in the tutorial its not a well tested feature. however it would provide search for you. you can also look at the map wiki.
