Sandra, I am saddened by your story of political violence and hardship in Senegal. I have tried to find a local contact for you in Dakar as I know Catholic Charities have done much for political refugees and their families in Africa. I have worked with many children mostly from West Africa in the past 15 years teaching English as a Second Language and many of them were sponsored to the USA by Catholic Services. The address I sent you came back to me as Catholic Services out of Austin , Texas, and i still search for a local Dakar email contact. I urge you to try and become involved on the local level in your country helping refugees to better their lives. You do not mention the name of the Church or the Pastor who is helping you make contact through the internet but he would certainly be able to give you some local reference point to begin with. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome on my blog posts. I will continue to search for a local Senegal email that you might use.
