Yep, I saw your troubles in the forum thread with the random function. I don't need to do the randomise, as I'm importing all Ning profiles into my application every hour or so and then picking the ones to display via other means.
I think I now have it working just using the REST api rather than writing a custom script, so I probably don't need your code.

I don't think I ever finished it. I recall running into a strange issue to do with trying to get a random assortment of profiles, instead of the same ones each time -- the documentation was clear enough, but I think I kept getting back the same 5 profiles. I will see if I can dig up whatever code I came up with though.
