are multiple forums possible?

I thought I read a discussion about having more than one forum, but I can't seem to find anything on it now. I'd like to have two different forums with two different tabs on the main page. I'm thinking about using forums for something akin to classified with one forum for "Want to Sell" and the other for "Want to Buy". Is this possible? Thanks in advance.
