Multiple Events Pages

Hello to all,
I am a new developer on Ning and I would like to add some functionality to my network. I would like to add multiple event pages, with seperate calendars for each individual city. Secondly I would like to add a drop down menu to limit the number of types/tags of events and city list. Is this possible and is there a efficient way to develop this application.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

you can't set up a separate calendar per city, but what you can do it change the "Type" of Event function into a "City". It's kind of cheating, but it is definitely functional. You will need to go into the Manage - Language Editor, select Edit - English, and then do a search for "events". You then need to change the word "Type" to "City". Now, when members post their events, they will need to input the City twice (unfortunately, there is no multiple choice option to select the city).

Under Tab Manager, You can then set up Sub-tabs for the cities under the Main event tab and be sure to link the sub-tab to the corresponding page.

It's not perfect - I wish Ning would add separate calendars - but it does work.

Thank you for the suggestion. How do I get the information on the sub-tabs? I want to do the same thing with groups and have them broken up in four categories. How do I get the information to get on the sub tabs.

That is fantastic help. I have a similar need.
Wondering why you don't change the City/Town: to Type: or Style: for instance. ??
Having city listed twice is not preferred obviously.
