Ning Developer Docs

There may be a problem with Ning's latest update.

On your machine, open the analytics section and just click save...

I am receiving the following message.
You have inserted invalid analytics code. Examine your code and try again.

I did not change any of my code...only opened and tried to save.

Could someone please try the same thing on their site and see if they receive the same error.

Regards,

Matt

i had the same problem
I have been updated by one of my Ning developers that indeed there is a problem

Yes, due to the recent Ning updates which prevents PHP code to use in the
Analytics Section, this is now a problem also for us developers.

We are now currently porting our applications and custom codes to the
OpenSocial Platform so we might need to reassess our quote or feedback
should you have any existing submitted requests for a feature enhancement.

My comments:

I don't know if any of you read closely the last Ning update. There were some great new features but we LOST PHP and SCRIPT modification of the sites. This seems not right to me. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Matt
Hi everyone,

Matt is correct -- you can refer to our CEO Gina's recent blog post here for more information:

If anyone has any further questions, you may redirect them to the Help Center at http://help.ning.com . Thanks!
