Directing users to certain pages after login

I need some help. I have a variety of users that fall into particular client groups. I want to have separate (and private) home pages for the different user groups. Is this possible or are there ways to fake it...such as create different pages (or tabs) that can act as homepages for the different groups. Also, can I control access to the different pages?

To clarify...I want young users to be directed to a certain page after they sign into my network. Likewise, I would like different clients to be directed to different pages after they sign in. Is this possible?

I would like this ability as well. One Thank-you page would be fantastic for integrating Auto-Responders with the site.
