Tab / Language editor

Hi,

I've a strange problem concerning labels on tabs.

I've tried to change them through Language editor but whatever the language I chose, tabs aren't renamed at all.

I really don't understand what happen with language editor...
(and i'm more surprised because on my second ning, there is no issue with language editor!)

Someone has an idea ?

The Tab Manager Tab Name overrides whatever you have used in the Language Editor.

Yes, I tried to rename tabs using tab manager but Tab title is limited to 13 characters.
But some of my titles are longer than 13.

On my other Ning, i don't know how, but my tabs are well renamed with long titles (19/20 characters). And on this ning, i never had to rewrite on tab manager, i only changed labels in Language Editor...

This bug is really non-understandable for me !

Is there a way to modify the limit of characters for tab titles ?!

I have a tab which was called "Forum & Testimonials" which is now (since today): "Forum & Test". This is not really cool...

There a another discussion recently talking about this problem. The Tab Manager and Language Editor store the Tab Names in different locations. If you use Tab Manager you cannot change the Tab Names using the Language Editor anymore.

Ask Ning. It may be too late.

Try Reset to Defaults button in your Tab Manager and try simply change tabs names in language editor... Should work...
