Changing my site name to example.ning.com example.com

HI ,
I want to change my ning site from http://mysitename.ning.com to http://mysitename.com. Is this possible to do with my site? If yes, how? Please advise me.

you have to buy a domain name from godady or yahoo
then under your manage tab you will see Add Premium Services
click that and it should answer all your questions

Can I use a different domain name (e.g. www.example.com) for my network?
Absolutely. You need to purchase the premium service, “Use your own domain name” and configure your domain name to point to your social network. This requires you to work with the domain registrar from whom you purchased your domain name. It is $4.95 per month.
Before you can map your domain you must register it. Ning does not offer domain registration services but we do recommend Active-domain.com, Namecheap.com, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Yahoo!, Register, DomainMaze or 1&1.
Next, sign up for the “Use your own domain name” premium service and let us know what your domain is. To do this sign in to your network as the Network Creator, click on the Manage tab, locate the “Ning Resources” box and click on the “Add Premium Services” link.
On the premium services page, check the “Add” box under “Use Your Own Domain Name.” Then type your purchased domain name into the URL box.

Click the “Go!” button at the bottom of the page to continue. Enter your payment information. Your credit card will be charged monthly for the service.
Finally, it’s time to set up the appropriate DNS records with your domain registrar or host. This may be tricky because different registrars provide different tools for managing DNS, and some don’t provide the ability to customize your DNS in the way that’s required for domain mapping to work correctly. For this reason, we have tutorials for a few recommended domain name registrars: Active-domain.com, Namecheap.com, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Yahoo!, Register, DomainMaze and 1&1
Once you’ve configured your domain name at your registrar or host, you’ll need to wait up to a couple of days (though it’s often faster) while the configuration propagates around the world. Once it does, anyone accessing your domain name will be directed to your network!
