how long does default photo take to show up?

i used a .png photo.

the one that shows up when they don't have a profile picture.

I have also changed it to a .jpg and the no photo icon is still showing the default ning icon. It about more than 30 min now...surely the cache should be refreshed by now ? or is this a bug?

Oh They have have to choose it or upload there own so it depends how big the picture is or if that person chose it.

hmmm, so there isn't any implemented way to globally change members default profile photo?

I'm not entirely clear what you are asking but if you want to manually destroy the cache as a NC you can visit:

http://EXAMPLENETWORK.ning.com/lib/scripts/invalidateCache.php
