Photo size in textbox with ie8 internet explorer 8

I manage 8 different networks on Ning. I have a number of textboxes with pictures/photos. I used to resize the photos directly in the textbox (changing the width and height of the jpeg file). However, suddently, all pictures/photos got bigger when connecting with Explorer (but photos are OK when connecting with Firefox).

Anybody else with the same problem? Did you find a solution, other than resizing the original photo before uploading?

I dont know about Michael - but I created a site outside of Ning and looks fine on all browsers mac and PC except on IE for PC pics all have extra height to them - you have a reason for this?
