Bring on Recurring Events Pleasseeee! We have venues log in to put in their weekly events in and when they find out they have to do a new event for every week they never come back.. I'd way prefer to have recurring events over having open social applications that no one uses.. we have stacks of events for our site every week.. and most of the events don't even get on the list because there are simply too many to keep putting the same ones in.. i noticed its not in the preview page with the new stuff.. it was on the preview page a few months ago though.. but still never happened. realllly reallly hope you can sort it out soon.. its killing me...

Hey!

I'd like to mention that i woke up to a nice email from gina saying that shes going to let me know by the end of the week when they can add it.. Let it be known.. ning rules!!!!!!!!!!!!! how good are they! if only the banks and telcos could follow in nings image..
Hi! I would also love Recurring events! :)
yeah this would be really cool. but also it would be cool if an event could be entered without ending date again (it starts at one day at a specific time and just ends when the day is over, not that all day thing).
totally! thats my other gripe! haha
Well.. gina didnt get back to me on when it was going to get done.. so i guess we'll just have to wait another 10 million years.. haha kidding.
bump
I run an ning site for a Homeowner's Association in Southern California. Our board meetings are always on the 3rd Wednesday of each month and I'd love to have a recurring event option. If a recurring event option cannot be completed quickly, it would be nice to at least be able to copy events, edit the date and resave them.
BUMP!

Can't wait for this to be available.

Event Posters are re-setting the date, which is fine, except the RSVPs are then wrong... any chance we can reset RSVPs?

Recurring Events are an absolute must Ning - PLEEEEEEEEASE! :)
We really need this feature on the two sites that I run.
We meet every other Thursday for one group and there's meetings twice a week (Friday and Tues) for my other group. Having to key events every time for this is time comsuming.
I'd like to add my vote to this request. Nobody is using the Events feature due to the hassle of typing in weekly events over and over and over. It's killing my site. The event calendar is the whole point of the site. Please allow recurring events. Or at least give us an App that lets us embed a real calendar. Good god.

Thanks,

Michael

I have been after this function for a while as my site simply requires to much maintence without it. I am currently using the free version of www.localendar.com and adding this into a text box on my site. Its easy to create and customise to fit your own network, it can add recurring events, you can choose daily, weekly or monthly views and users can send events to their calendars for yahoo, google, outlook or icalendar. Downsides are there is no RSVP option, no way for members to comment (I am using groups for regular events to try and get round this) and on the free version only the admin can add events (initially it looks like member can too but this is becuase your first month is on a trial of the paid calendar so make sure you check the functions you want will still be available after the trial!!!).

Basically this works well for me and while I appreciate its not perfect, the recurring feature on ning events doesn't seem any closer so some of you may find this a good work around in the meantime.
thanks for the link! I'll check it out
