Adding recurring events to calendar?

I just added the event calendar to my site. Is there a way to add recurring events to the calendar? For example, an even that occurs once a week on Friday, every week of the year? I'd hate to make the clubs and such that hold weekly meetings have to post the same info every week.

Our Events widget does not currently have the ability to set recurring events. It's highly likely that this feature will be coming in the near future since this is a highly requested feature.

Another minor complaint would be the fact that you have to add an image to post an event. The image should be optional.

This design decision was made to help make networks as visually appealing as possible. We wanted to help networks get away from a bunch of default icons to represent different events. However, it would be great if you wanted to post your thoughts and feedback on our Network Creators network: http://networkcreators.ning.com.

I would really like this feature too. Also, i am looking for a way to allow certain users to add events and not others. Any thoughts???

Ya know what would be really cool? The ability to keep an extensive event calendar in spreadsheet format so that we could import the events from a cvs file.

Recurring events is a necessity! Why bothering having an events calendar without this ability? Please make this a priority... We have weekly AND monthly recurring events in our community!

That's what I was thinking was the rationale -- however, when you include the "events module" on the front page, the event images don't show up!?

I really need the recurring events feature aswell. I hope they put in the next release.

I realllllly need recurring events! its crazy how badly i need this one.. we have like stacks of events every week and its so much work to add the same event 50 times.. a year .. pleeeassse add recurring events!!!!!!
