Don't Let This Be the Downfall of Ning - A great Company
Open Letter to Ning.
My members (and myself) ARE UNDER ATTACK. These are just SOME of the spam invites we've all been getting. This has been constant.
I love ning and gladly pay for all the premium services but this is destroying my network. Members don't realize that by joining a ning site they will be subject to an enormous amount of spam. They are blaming my site.
I just had a problem with a member adding a large amount of friends, creating a ning network and stealing my members. All the members on his site are mine, they even stole my slideshows (Logo and ALL).
Please guys, you must do something about this. This will be the downfall of your great company. You provide an excellent service which is years ahead of the competition but at the end of the day, any of our members can turn into a competitor at any time and steal from the hard work and money some of us used to build our sites.
If the member data is ours, then give us a way to protect our data. I hate having to be weary of members collecting too many friends, creating groups, etc. I'm at the point where i don't even allow ning NC's on my site.
