Paypal integration-pay-per-post

Hello there!

I'm looking for someone who can help me setup Paypal for the following:
I'm working on a network using a pay- per- post system. Every time a member wants to add a discussion in a forum (!) he has to pay for that.

So every time after adding a discussion into a forum , it needs to be directed to PayPal billing system > after validating the billing, the message will be placed into the forum.

I have a Paypal merchant account what are the steps to get this thing working???

Anyone here who can help me?

Hello Wizard,

The process should look like this:
1. In a Forum (see picture above): members types a message in forum’s textbox.
2. after clicking “Add discussion” , member will be routed to PayPal
3. after validating of the Paypal’s payment process, the temporary post will be activated into a
active post.

I don't know if it's wise to route this process via a pop up window?
Who can help me?

You can try language editor.
Search "add discussion" and replace this with a PayPal-link.... maybe this will get it working.

If not.... please ask Ning developers (Ernie, Phil, Evan ...., etc.) how to implement Paypal appropriate.

Hello Wizard,

Have done that before.
It creates a button with a script.
The problem is how to get the "Add discussion" - button linked to the Paypal-button or script.
I've used language editor, pasted the code in the textbox of "Add discussion", but it seems not possible to get it working.

Someone familiair with customization has to dig deeper in Ning's code........ Wizard maybe? :-)

Is there a NIng-developer over here who's able to help me to get Paypal's code or Paypal button linked with the "add discussion" in the forum-section?

Holy cows!

That sounds very complicated.
I know nothing about javascript, CSS, IFRAme, etc.
Are there really no other quick fix solutions?

This subscription method was also on my mind but not suitable for my project / ideas.
Anyway it sounds very interesting to apply this for one of my groups.

It would be nice to be able to let paying members have premium and have a few extra privaliages??

i wish ning would fix that up so we can just add our paypal and if a member pays for premium on out site then they get to see profile views and who viewed and they can see certain pages and other stuff
