Scenario: I create a network, and hundreds of people join it. Later, something happens so I'm not involved anymore - I move to a new city, so a network based around my old neighborhood isn't relevant; I convert to another religion or political party; I change careers; I start a family and can't continue managing my ning network; I get killed in a car accident. Can someone else take it over? I saw elsewhere that the network is permanently locked to the creator's email address, but in all those cases - except I guess the last one, where I'm dead and it doesn't matter - I don't really want to give my email over to someone else! Should network creators begin by first creating a generic gmail address only for that group, or what?
You are able to switch the network creators email address. At least I was able to. What I did was create a generic user account for the network admin and my personal profile. My profile is setup as an admin so if I decide to transition the network to someone else I can still have my profile,
Hi Jay. You mean you are able to use two different email addresses? Or did you just give your other admin the same email as what you're using?
Please respond on my network if you can. Thanks Jay P.
I switched the network creator accounts email address which is generic for the company. I then created my own personal account that has a different email address.
You can't have two accounts with the same email address but you can switch an account from oner person to another by changing the email address as long as the other email address doesn't already exisit on the network.
