Javascript and text boxes...how to?

I know that this has been mentioned but what is the current status/how to add javascript to text boxes? Does it matter if Premium Services> Remove ads has been purchased? If not purchased how do you do it? I keep getting the code stripped out. I had seen at one point that wrapping the javascript in a Div or P might work but no go.
