How to disable cache while developing OpenSocial applications?

Hi there, I have a sandbox social network at http://ventanazul-sandbox.ning.com and I'm starting with OpenSocial apps development. I've just started with the 'hello world' gadget example but noticed that it's being cached by Ning.

I read that I could disable caching by adding bpc=1 to the url so I modified some text in my gadget and tried going to:

http://ventanazul-sandbox.ning.com/?bpc=1

but I don't see the updated version.

Am I missing something?

How do I disable cache during development of my OpenSocial applications for Ning?

Thanks!

Hi Alessandro,

For Ning App development, to disable the cache for Ning Apps, make sure you append ?ningapp_nocache=1 to the URL of the Ning Apps page you're loading.

Thanks,

Do you mean here:
To add an unlisted Ning App to your social network, paste its URL below:
Ning App URL http://........gadget.xml?ningapp_nocache=1
????

I use "nocache=true". "ningapp_nocache=1" not work

Hi visual-craft,

The ningapp_nocache=1 shouldn't be added to the XML file, it should be added to the social network:

http://mynetwork.ning.com/?ningapp_nocache=1 - where mynetwork is replaced with your network - will disable caching for any Ning Apps that have been installed on the network.

Thanks,
- Ernie
