Ning Developer Network

one of my Ning sites is getting 90% SEO spam sign-ups, what can I do to combat this? I need ideas desperately.

I run five or six networks but this problem threatens the whole concept of social networking for me. Users are leaving because of it and I cannot spend so much time every day banning members.

What can i do?

what is a Ning doing about this? Why don't you detect problems during sign-up? Why do you allow 20 links and no text in sign-up fields?

Need help fast!!

You might make having email address mandatory to prevent it. I'm admin on several sites and unless there's an email address to confirm who the person is I do not accept their membership.

that might help a little but it's time intensive... won't they just make one up?
