I put buddy poke on my page on my ning network. I'm unable to save the application. Any thoughts ?

When I select the option of a poke a buddy friend there are no friends there. Should this show all of my friends on the network?

I can not customize appearance or change the mood of a buddy.

I get this:
Version: 2.004

Loading User: 100%
Loading Avatar: 99.9%
Loading Interface: 91%

I tried on Linux 2.6.18 as well as on Leopard using Firefox 3 with the same result.

Also picture of avatar gets cut down at the bottom sometimes.

We're looking in to the loading problems now. i.e.:
Loading User: 100%

Which is happening with FireFox 3.


To select a friend to poke, your friends need to add the application first.

It is happening with older Firefox as well - I tried Firefox 1.5

some of my members who are my friends have added the application but they still don't show up in the friends to poke area.So what do we do now.

Friends who are in the same network that have BuddyPoke installed should show up the poke window. If they don't I suggest giving it a few hours and trying it again, or try over the weekend. Sometimes, because of browser or server caching it can take a short time before it updates. In the mean time, try going to your friend's profile page; they should have BuddyPoke on their page, and there will be a "poke _name_" link. Try clicking it and then poking them directly from their profile page.

The loading 91% problem should be fixed now. Please let me know if you see the problem again? You can post here, or if you'd like a faster reply feel free to email me at dave at buddypoke dot com.

I really like the Buddy Poke application but I am having some issues with it on my network.

One of my friends on my nework has the Budy Poke Application--when I go on my page to use the Budy Poke there is an option that says "Select friend to BuddyPoke" but my friend is not listed on it--why not? How do I have my friends from the network on it?

There is an option to "invite friends" but when I click on that it says I have to email them and most people on my network do not have each other's emails--why can't you select invite your friends from the network?

Also one of my friend BuddyPoked me and I poked them back but it did not show up on their page--why not? Another friend also poked me and I poked her back but it did show up on her page.

Thanks it works now.
One more bug I found(not as serious as first issue), is that when I tried to customize the avatar and make it a female, I was not able to disable a pants and add a skirt :-) , so my avatar would end up in both pants and skirt ...
As a result , I chose avatar from the gallery, but it would be nice to fix it as well.

Neither one works for me--only my friend that I emailed directly worked (I was able to poke her). My friends on my network do not show up and when I went to poke back it didn't go on their page even when I went to their direct profile page. Thanks!

Hi everyone, thanks for your patience as we work out these problems.

The loading problems appear to be fixed right now. Please post again if it gets stuck loading?

In terms of the friend selection, friend invites, etc I'm talking with Ning engineers about this, and I will post here when we a solution.
