Ning Developer Network

Hello All,

I added a new forum tab using the recommendations in the tutorial found here.

http://developer.ning.com/notes/Creating_An_Extra_Forum_And_Tab

Then I cleared my cache so I could see the tab using the tutorial here.

http://developer.ning.com/notes/Configuration_Caching

The problem is, this all worked fine on my test network, but when I tried to implement it into my live network the tab does not show up.

test network: http://test-rei.ning.com

live network: http://real-estate-investing.com

I can go directly to the address: http://www.real-estate-investing.com/articles but I do not see the tab on my main page.

In addition I see many items still relating back to the forum text (see attached picture). If someone could tell me how to change those, that would be great as well.

Could someone please compare the two codes to see where the difference is?

Thanks so much in advance,

Matt Gerchow

I think playing with the tab manager initially is what has this page not showing. If it is correct on my test network, it should be correct here.
Looks like I'll be eating my words...that worked!

Do you know how to change the text inside that page? It still says forum in three places. I want it to say "articles". Look at the uploaded pic in my original thread.

But at least this gets me started.

Thank you.

Matt
no - i would appreciate it if someone would help since i have the same issue where i'm trying to use a 2nd forum for reviews and the page title still says 'forum'.
i doubt the language editor would help since it would change forum everywhere.
Not the case...

This changes the top tab but nothing else.

See here: www.Real-Estate-Investing.com/articles

Correct here: www.FusedJaw.com

I am waiting for Tami of fused jaw to get back to me but if anyone knows the answer...it would be much appreciated.

Thanks all for your help.

Matt
