At 8:43pm tonight we began to see unusual behavior on SFTP and WebDAV. As a security precaution, we suspended SFTP/WebDAV access across the Ning Platform at 10:12pm Pacific Time while we continue to investigate this incident.
As part of related work we've also started to filter out any PHP code added to your analytics box. This means that HTML, JavaScript, and CSS can still be added to your Analytics box. Only PHP code is being filtered.
We’ll have another update tomorrow once we have more information. Update: We’ll begin to slowly roll out access tomorrow. Please contact us through the Ning Help Center for specific requests and we’ll keep you posted on access. Thanks, Evan
Thanks for the info Evan,
does the fix include extra javascript, or just php code in the analytics box?
I have multiple javascripts in addition to my analytics code in the box too.
HELP!!! I sent a request to the help center last night, but my entire network is down until I can fix a coding error. I either need access ASAP, or I need someone there to be able to go in and fix it for me!
I Also Need Access NOW!!! My Site Keeps Coming Up With An Error On A Page Becasue I Didn't Get To Finish It Before I Was Having Probloms WIth SFTP And Webdav So I Need To Get In To My Network! You Guys Have Been Working On It For 2 Days This Is My JOB!!!! I Need To Get Into SFTP
Any updates on this issue Evan? It was not resolved by monday close-of-business CET/EET and another weekday like this tomorrow would be very expensive on our current development...
I hope you will be able to conclude your root-cause analysis soon...
