At 8:43pm tonight we began to see unusual behavior on SFTP and WebDAV. As a security precaution, we suspended SFTP/WebDAV access across the Ning Platform at 10:12pm Pacific Time while we continue to investigate this incident.
As part of related work we've also started to filter out any PHP code added to your analytics box. This means that HTML, JavaScript, and CSS can still be added to your Analytics box. Only PHP code is being filtered.
We’ll have another update tomorrow once we have more information. Update: We’ll begin to slowly roll out access tomorrow. Please contact us through the Ning Help Center for specific requests and we’ll keep you posted on access. Thanks, Evan
Hey Evan thanks for the update, is there anything like "Site Editor" we can use to update some small config files.
Site Editor would be great for this type of situation.

Hi BJ!
Unfortunately, there are no tools available to access your network's files for the moment. We're working hard to address this, and hope to have your files available soon. Of course, your network will function as normal — and anything already your tracking code box will not be lost.
Wait 1 Sec. First We Have To Change Our Networks All Around Because You Took Widget Lab Out And Now You Are Taking SFTP And WebDAV From Us It Seems Like NING Dosn't Know What There Doing Anymore. The 1 Reason I Went With NING To Create My Network Was NING Seemed Like They Had It Under Control And Like The Best Site And I Am Starting To Re Consider And Its Going To Be Hard To Move 2,890 Members On One Of My Networks And 1,087 On My Other Network But If NING Is Going To Keep Up Not Expected Shut Downs Or SFTP and WebDAV Being Down Its Not Right First Off You Should Of Never Of Taken Away The Site Editor I Am Sure I Am Not The Only One Who Feels This Way I Am Pissed And If You Guys Arn't Going To Minimize Things Like This You Can Say Good Bye To 2 Big Networks Who Have Brought Alot Of New Members To NING

Hi Dayne!
It will affect any php hacks that had you entering php in the analytics box. We'll update these tutorials with new instructions as time permits. Keep in mind that any hacks installed will continue to function (they're 'grandfathered' in) until you resave the analytics code.
Cheers!
Evan

Are you guys going to announce you are taking down articles that taught people how to use the analytics box for php or just let them find out on their own?

Hi Russ!
Yup, unfortunately we're currently planning to take them down.
