Ning Developer Network

While trying to save a file I was working on, my editor (komodo) asked me for my login credentials again for ning's SFTP. I entered them again, but authentication keeps failing. Other clients (dreamweaver) are claiming they cannot make a connection to host (sftp.ning.com). Is the SFTP server down?

WinSCP also does not work..
Hi Guys!

Sorry for the lack of notification. We are doing some maintenance on these right now but they will be back up in a couple hours.

Thanks!
Laura
Thanks for the confirmation, Laura. It would be awesome if, in the future, you guys could give us a heads up.
whew...
I couldn't get on and it had me confused. Will WebDav work?
Hello Roland,

WebDav is also impacted by this issue. We're working to resolve it as quickly as possible. I'll post again on this thread when SFTP and WebDav are available again.

Cheers!
Mike
Thanks!
I'll probably post a bug report on launchpad too. Ubuntu's ssh process told me it crashed, not that it couldn't connect.
Hello All!

Sorry for the delay. SFTP is back up! WebDav will also be available in a few minutes.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers!
Mike
sweet. thanks Mike!
What do you do if you password is no longer valid for WinSCP? I am using my Ning ID password but I get Access Denied instead of a connection.
well Doone, I can't help ya :-)
I don't use that shady app. Ubuntu comes with SFTP connection cababilty built in, and FileZilla was to miserable, so I left out even trying WinSCP.

have you tried webdav?
I will try Ubantu then - you usually have good recommendations.
don't unless you are an advanced user. it's like windows, but it's not, so I'll suggest unless you are willing to go through the trouble don't :-)

I was just saying that generally don't have that issue :-)
