Can i change the layout of Groups page

Good Afternoon,

I want to change the layout of the Groups page. What i need to do is to make the page a 2 column page, where i want to delete the middle column and take its content to the last column.

Is it possible.

I think there is a layout xml somewhere (I dont know where) in which i have to make changes. Let me know if i am on the right track.

Yes you can do it without any programming, just changing some XML through the administrtion tool: http://YOURNETWORK.ning.com/admin/index/manage?type=Group

You can modify the XML layout changing the my.xg_groups_layout property. You can include any number of boxes (RSS, HTML, ...) and decide your own layout.

The only drawback is that if something goes wrong you may have to delete the group and start it over.

If you use an external XML editor (I use the free version of LiquidXML) ensure you remove spaces and newlines.

Is there documentation somewhere detailing the syntax of the xml that goes in xg_groups_layout.

is this correctly? i add

"[module widgetName="blog" action="embed2" embedInstance="11" isActive="1"/]"

to the group object and nothing happen.
