Duplicating Member's Module

There used to be a way to duplicate the Member's Module on the main page with source code access, but i merged my network to get the updates, and then the files i edited to do said task have been altered and are no longer able to duplicate this module.

the reason i want to do this is so i can display my networks latest members, and featured members.. and my featured members are now getting mad at me cuz theyre not getting their publicity anymore, lol

well if theres another way to do this, id be more than happy.

I'd like to help you out but I'm afraid that I'll need some more information. How are you attempting to duplicate this module and what roadblocks are you running into? If you're following a tutorial could you please provide a link to the steps you're following?

hey Mike, thanks for replying :D

i saw this "tutorial" a while back to add more text boxes as something to work from, and i just scanned through the code near that and was able to "add more" of everything else too, i added another blog module and members module so i could have latest news and members blogs, and then featured members and latest members at the same time.

now the code changed with the merge i performed, and the file changed completely.

any help would be appreciated :D

Hello Jamie!

That's a pretty old forum post. A lot has changed on the social network application since then so it's not surprising that it no longer works. The further you go back the more likely the code has changed enough to make the tips we post obsolete.

We do our best to keep the tutorials posted to the tutorials section up to date, so I recommend that you stick to those for demonstrative purposes.

As for the specifics of enabling more text boxes, I'm afraid we don't have an up to date tutorial handy. I'll add it to our tutorial to-do list for posting in the future, though.
