Having trouble connecting to sftp

I am using Filezilla

I have followed all the instruction given here: http://developer.ning.com/notes/Accessing_Source_Code_with_SFTP

still nothing, is the server out for maintenance?

Thats weird because I am using FileZilla to and it keeps saying:

Response: fzSftp started
Command: open "[e-mail]@sftp.ning.com" 22
Error: Network error: Software caused connection abort
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

And I cant access my source code using WebDav. I dont know whats going on but I have contacted ning about this issue and I have not gotten any messages back, I have have really just about given up with ning. They help me but then they dont know whats going on so they don't respond.

Actually, I was able to connect via Transmit on the Mac with no problems. However, Filezilla connection on the PC still remains to be problematic.

Any suggestions pls.

Hello,
I have figured out whats wrong!!!! :D

You need to download and use WinSCP. That one works for some reason with PC. I tried that and it works now!

I use WinSCP and it's doing great. Tie it with your favorite text editor, Notepad++ in my case.

I can't connect via WinSCP. It keeps giving me weird errors. Any of you WinSCP users have to change your config at all?

No I don't think I did. Did you Google the errors?

WinSCP worked for me - i did EXACTLY what is listed on the tutorial/note for accessing via sftp and it works.
filezilla does not - it gets stuck after connecting to the sftp server - basically it gets stuck in the process of validating user name password if you give a valid user name. if you give invalid details it gives an error.
