I've been playing with the REST api, but I haven't been able to figure out how to access the preview thumbnails for my videos. Are they a separate content type, or just a property of the videos?

on a more general note, is there a naming convention for the content types? - ie. if I want to get blog posts, should the content type be "blogPosts", "Blogs"... etc

thanks for any tips

Hi Jack,

I'll have to ping the guys at HQ to find out about the video thumbnails.

I'm not sure there is convention for naming the data types. The blog post is 'BlogPost'. The easiest way to find this out is to get a network that has access to the source code (you can always grab a 2nd one if you want to keep your main network centralized) and look in the 'model' files within each widget.
Hello Jack!

Video preview thumbnails are stored in a separate content object called VideoPreviewFrame. Here's an example feed of the thumbnails for NetworkCreators.

Cheers!
Mike
worked like a charm.

thanks very much!
Please note that as we discontinued the REST APIs as per Gina's blog post, the content of this forum thread is no longer relevant and is for historical purposes only.
