WebDAV Volume, help please

I'm not sure that that can be done anymore. Ning cut off access to the PHP source code last October. There's very little you can do with WebDAV on Ning anymore. What kind of file did you make on your computer? If it was a PHP file, you won't be able to upload it, I believe...

uh, I'm not sure what PHP is... I just followed the instructions on this http://developer.ning.com/notes/Accessing_Source_Code_with_WebDav and http://developer.ning.com/tutorials/Creating_An_Extra_Forum_And_Tab but no such luck as to having it automatically shown on my network.

I followed the tutorial you linked to. I didn't see any new tab. But then I clicked on Manage and then Features. I saw a new Feature in the left column called Forum2 which is what I made the title in step 3 of the tutorial. I dragged it onto the Layout, clicked Save, and then it appeared on the Navigation Menu as a new tab! See if that works for you.

Hi Ning MAster,

As you have I have follow your instruction to create new Forum and successfully it's created also i can access the forum2 but there is one problem when i'm creating some new topic i can create and see it, but once when I close the page and access the forum2 .. it shows there is no article,

What's the reason for this but once again when I open the topic link it can see but in the forum2 it's didn't show.... ??

also i want to create some category for the forum 2 please can you help me how to get rid of these 2 problmes...

Hi Mirage,

Sounds like you're having some problems with the second Forum. I just set one up to see if it can be done, I never used it after that. But the tutorial about adding a second forum does say,

"Notice: As with any customization, this technique is not tested as fully as the rest of your social network. In fact this particular customization has several known issues with forum content displayed on other pages and notifications. Only proceed if you can live with these issues!"

So I guess you found some of those issues! In my opinion, the best thing to do about Forums on Ning is to embed one of the popular Open Source Forums, like phpBB or SMF, into your Ning Network to replace the one that comes with Ning. We're working on a way to do that, over at TheNingMaster.com.

I see that you were successful adding the 2nd forum...
but the links Jenny gave are no longer accessible...
Any help would be appreciated

You need to request WebDav through the Ning Help Centre - takes about 2 weeks to come through, if at all.
