I run a music site here, NetNewMusic and I've been promising a better way to surf our collective songs but now with the change in API, I can't figure out what's going to continue to work, what works now, etc...
I'd like to begin working on a Flash Player, that will take a listing of MP3's and User avatar pics, and let my user surf through all of the music they've uploaded. I don't see any Content API's in OpenSocial and what limited hacking I've done, no longer works. Requesting an XSPF file seems to fail because of a missing sort of privileging. Any ideas would be helpful, I've made these promises but now with the advent of OpenSocial, I just don't see how it's going to work.
So there is currently no way to do this. I'm not satisfied with the Ning way of just ignoring threads... come on guys! Give me a clue or a yes or a no!
Ning will not help you on this because they don't have this built in and they don't offer this in a different way. NingMods.com(Thom) is right the only thing you can do is go to LiveWired and get the premium version of the Music Jukebox they offer.
its a great app by the way, well worth the money. they've clearly put in a lot of time to it, and better than spending the 2 solid months it would take to make it
Thanks. I was hoping to make some type of Map/Mashup is the thing, not just a player. We're more interested in new ways of surfing all of our 'songs' than just hitting play.
We are in the process of making one, so if you give me some idea of what you are after, we can incorporate it for you

Here you can see their music jukebox on my network. You can use the free edition with a promotional link to livewired.ning.com - I check it out and like it.
